Get volunteers

Before you resort to hiring moving companies, ask friends and relatives for help. This not only saves you labor fee but allows you to bond together with your friends and family before you move. Also try to find someone who can lend you a truck.

Shop Around

If you should rent a truck, take the time to shop around before signing up with a rental company. You'd be surprised at the discount options available at other companies. Also, make sure that the size of truck is suitable to the size of your goods. Hiring a truck that is too small would mean multiple trips and therefore cost more money.

Prepare a Budget

Plan ahead and determine your moving expenses prior the moving day. By getting a rough estimate of what everything would cost you, you would be able to set aside an ideal budget. It is also a good idea to allot extra for emergency expenses.
