In an age when everybody is in a rat race every day, people just don't have time to devote long hours on just packing for their move. So if you could start planning and packing early, it really helps. You could do the task by phase and still finish packing on time. You could even give packing an hour or two per day and still accomplish everything. What would make things even more convenient is to use pods for your move.
 
When you are pod moving you can pack your stuff into the container by yourself. The pod container would be delivered to your home so you can add more stuff every day until everything is in. You won't even have to be pressured because you can dictate when you can have it picked up and delivered to your new address.
 
As long as you have a pretty good idea how to pack safely this is preferable because you get to pack your things the way you want it. You will even be able to find things easier since it was you who put them in.
 
If you only need to store some things like inventory or out of season clothes, you can also get a pod and have them picked up. But instead of going to your new address, your things will be stored in the pod moving company for as long as you need them stored.
